Installing the GitHub Extension for Visual Studio 2017

If you need to install the GitHub extension for Visual Studio 2017 simply follow these steps.

  1. Using the Start Menu, locate and launch the Visual Studio Installer
  2. Under Visual Studio 2017, click Modify
  3. Select the Individual Components tab
  4. Scroll down to the Code tools section and ensure the GitHub extension for Visual Studio is checked
  5. Click Modify to install the extension.
